It's Cold Outside!

It's good soup weather. It's the weekend, so there isn't too much going on. I haven't gotten a whole lot accomplished today, so I guess I should go do something. :)

AMD Contest

One of the contests I entered -
AMD and Blizzard are having a contest to win AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4450 Graphics Cards. They look pretty good. This is one of those enter once-a-day contests with extra entries for referrals. This is my link -
http://wow.winwithamd.com/index.php?Plink=L1228466554888848969
I'll have to keep my fingers crossed on this one. :)

Note - AMD and Radeon are TM of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Blizzard is a TM of Blizzard Entertainment.

Out For the Night!

It appears Boom-Boom is out for the night, so it's quiet in the apartment building. It was pretty disgusting yesterday. She was playing some horrid song and singing along with it - loudly. It's bad because she is one of the single most tone-deaf people I have ever heard in my life. You feel like screaming 'Put it out of its misery already, it's obviously in pain!!!!' This went on for hours, even when I was trying to sleep. Oh, fun. Why do some people think everyone should suffer through their vocal abominations? I do hope she didn't actually think that sounded good....
On another note, I got bored and started two more blogs. One is more fitness related and one is more travel related. I also entered some contests, not that I ever seem to win much. I also browsed around http://www.teenidols4you.com/ . It's a pretty cool site.

Needs Color....

My blog is so boring! I need to liven it up a little, but how?

I figured it out!

With the economy the way it is, alot of people are finding themselves in danger of losing their houses, actually losing their houses and/or having to move. I am one of those people.

Searching...

I'm currently in the process of trying to come up with a 'theme' for this blog, rather than just my random thoughts and ramblings. I just can't really think of anything interesting that isn't mundane or overdone. I'm toying with the ideas of fitness and travel, but how to narrow the field as those are two pretty broad areas... Hmmmm.

Bored...

I'm bored so I figured I'd write a little here. Let's see, I'm originally from North Carolina but recently ended up in North Dakota. It's a long story. I love the town I'm in. Most of the people are really nice. The apartment is pretty cool, too, except for one thing. The people in the apartment are all decent except for one - 'Boom-Boom the Inbred Barbarian', and she lives right next door to us! I did win a prize in the 'Do you have a neighbor from he**?' contest, so that's about the only positive that has come from living next door to this 'person'. Let's just say -
1. Braggarts have the least to brag about.
2. Cowards get really brave in large groups.
3. People who have the least to say talk the loudest.
4. Stupid people + lots of alcohol = stupider people.
5. Immaturity breeds noise.
6. Pathological liars should come with warnings, or 'mute buttons'.
Well, I guess I'll sign off for now. I really should cook breakfast.

Second Post

Maybe this is more of a vent than a post, but has anyone noticed a rise in obnoxious ads online in the past couple of months? Everything from the SweepsNation and National Jean Company ads that move the webpages up and down to try to trick people into clicking on them, to DirecTV ads that won't let you see the site you're trying to visit. I've had to refresh some sites several dozen times to get rid of the DirecTV banner so that I can finally see the site I was visiting. These are just a few of the new-wave of obnoxious advertisements. Seriously, I wonder if these companys actually think these irritating ads help there business?! Quite the contrary, I think it makes their company appear trashy. If you can't win customers over with good products and service, try instead to trick them and/or annoy them into clicking your ad and doing business with you. Uh, not! Who comes up with this stuff?

First Post....

Well, here's the first post. Nothing to really say yet, so we'll call this a test! :)
